Miss Indias Bollywood Tour Success Stories Gossip Gupshup
From the exotic Hot Zeenat Aman to the leggy Sushmita Sen to the sassy Priyanka Chopra(Piggy Chops), Bollywood has embraced Miss Indias with open arms over the years.
These Bollywood Hot Beauties have had the opportunity of showcasing their acting skills in Hindi films. Apart from their obvious good looks, they have scorched the screen with their dazzling talent as well. Joining the league of these Miss Indias who have already carved a niche for themselves in Bollywood are the girls who have wowed PFMI in the recent years. Sarah Jane Dias is going to be playing the lead opposite none other than Abhishek Bachchan in the film Crooked produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
The pretty Sarah has also cracked a three film deal with the Rock On producers. Nineteen-year-old Deeksha, a Miss India finalist, is making her debut in a South film but is tight-lipped about the project. Parvathy Omanakuttan has caught the eye of many filmmakers who are keen to cast this beauty in their projects. Sonalli Sehgal has been gearing up for her place in Hindi films by taking up acting lessons and dance classes. Simran Kaur Mundi has been receiving offers from producers, especially roles that require her to play Punjabi kudi. PFMI’09 Miss Hospitality Dimple Patel has landed herself a role opposite Arjan Bajwa in Hema Malini’s home production Tell Me O Khuda.
These girls have obviously managed these roles with their sheer talent and looks but now, Pantaloons Femina Miss India has decided to make things easier for them. This year, PFMI 2010 will act as a stepping stone for the contestants to make their Bollywood dreams come true. Madhur Bhandarkar and Vipul Shah are going to mentor and launch two Miss India finale contestants in their respective upcoming film projects. And that’s not all — industry stalwarts Anupam Kher and Shiamak Davar will also be supporting the association by way of training and mentoring the contestants in acting and dance respectively. The CEO of Pantaloons, Sanjeev Agarwal said, “Pantaloons is proud of the new association which Pantaloons Femina Miss India is creating with established production houses in Bollywood, thus creating a definitive culmination to the journey of the contestant which starts with the entry to the pageant.” Said Shiamak Davar at the do to announce this association, “
The film industry today is a competitive place and it is a privilege for these contestants to be trained in dance and acting and be prepared to take the challenge head on.” To this, Marc Robinson, Contestant Director and Fashion Director PFMI 2010, stated, “This association with Bollywood has opened up an exciting avenue and we are excited about tapping talent and honing them to take the film industry by storm.” Looks like Bollywood definitely has something to cheer about this year!
