Nudity:is it ok for professors?
An art teacher has caused a stir by taking alll his clothes off while giving a lecture.
Mo xiaoxin, a 56-year-old assistant professor at a university in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, shaked students by stripping during a lecture on art and the human body. He did so to emphasize the power of the body and to “challenge taboos”.
The lecture was part of a course within a newly established “Human Body Art and Culture” research institute, the first of its kind in China.
The naked lecturer made many of the 30 or so students uneasy. Some kept their eyes trained on the ceiling, others bowed their heads awkwardly and stared at the ground.An official with the Ministry of Culture said Mo’s nude teaching was an improper act, reported Beijing News.
But supporters, mostly within the art circle, said Mo did it for art and so shouldn’t be blamed.
